Arm Liposuction

The liposuction of arms is a cosmetic surgery regularly practised. It attracts as much as the women as much as men, all avid to remodel this part of the body, particularly difficult to draw with exercice or a healthy diet.

Many people who have almost ideal physique, frequently grumble that the only aspect which makes them look undesirable is their own "bat wings" or the flab in the upper arms. This is actually the issue for many individuals, because unwanted fat in this area is challenging to eliminate. Often because of the flabby upper arms people avoid wearing sleeveless clothes.  Skin is sagging and arms look flab often after a person lost a considerable amount of weight. In such case the arms liposuction is a fantastic treatment for this issue.

What is exactly the arm liposuction?

The aesthetic goal of arm liposuction is for you to feel more attractive in social situations whilst wearing short sleeve clothing.performs liposuction of the arms he can

1) improve a disproportionate appearance of the arm, while maintaining the quality of female beauty

2) allow you to feel more comfortable and less self-conscious when wearing a sleeveless blouse

3) achieve a thinner appearance of the arms when the arms are in a relaxed position alongside the torso.

The pendulous drooping flap of the skin hanging from a fat arm when it is held in a horizontal position can be virtually eliminated by liposuction. By using vaser technology and the latest technique in liposculpture, an incredible amount of skin retraction can be achieved.

Anterior Axillary Fat Pads

These are located on the chest just in front of the arm-pit. These fat pads become more prominent with age and with increasing degrees of obesity. Even in some relatively thin women, the anterior axillary fat pad can be disproportionately large. A tightly fitting bra causes the fat pads to bulge unattractively above the bra. These fat pads can be eliminated by liposuction. It is often convenient to do liposuction of the anterior axillary fat pads at the same time as liposuction of the arms.

Posterior Axillary Fat Pads

These are located just behind the arm-pit on the side of the back. In some women, these fat pads can be a cosmetic problem. It is often convenient to do liposuction of the posterior axillary fat pads at the same time as liposuction of the arms. Anterior axillary and posterior axillary areas require absorptive padding for only few days. The absorptive pads are best held in place with a torso compression garment. Before you undertake a liposuction treatment, our staff will fit you for a compression support garment. You will be required to wear this garment for approximately two weeks.

What happens during a liposuction procedure?

Just like in traditional liposuction, the area to be treated is filled with a special saline solution (tumescent solution). Next, a small probe transmitting ultrasound energy is used to break apart fatty tissue and to emulsify the fat cells, whilst preserving other important structures. Finally the liquefied fat is removed through a gentle suction process designed to minimise damage to surrounding tissues. When performing liposuction to this area, the surgeon is of the opinion that a thin layer of residual fat should remain to insure a natural female appearance. This also maintains the natural softness and feel of a female body which most women want as their desired outcome. The procedure is done under local anaesthesia and light sedation and takes more or less 45 minutes.

Is Arm Liposuction right for me?

For appropriate patients, the results are most gratifying. If you feel that your arms are too thick and heavy, then liposuction of the arms may be able to help you achieve that slender look. Liposuction of the arms is almost exclusively a procedure for women.Arm liposuction is noticeably more successful if performed on patients whose skin has retained some elasticity and also overall tone.

Postoperative Care & Results

Postoperative Care after liposuction of the arms is relatively simple. At first you may feel some minor discomfort such as burning, tenderness, inflammation, as well as numbness. The surgeon will most likely recommend pain prescription medication. All discoloration caused by surgery, as bruising usually resides within few days to two weeks, and patients will be able to go back to work 48hours after surgery, however the compression bands must be used for as long as 2 weeks following arm liposuction.

An improvement is visible immediately. However, it takes several months for the final result to be obtained, due to the gradual process of the skin healing and adhering to the underlying tissue. This process is called skin retraction. The final result for arm liposuction tends to be achieved within a shorter time frame compared to treatment of the lower limbs.
